Activities and Projects

Sussex to Africa is dedicated to promote justice and equality by supporting inspirational people who have a heart and vision to improve the lives of disadvantaged and underprivileged members of their communities.

Our goal is to use education and sport as a platform for social change and to improve and strengthen communities by supporting local people with positive leadership qualities.

We hope that you support this effort by joining us, to facilitate social change for the disadvantaged, providing them with a positive avenue for growth and development .

                        About us

‘Sussex to Africa’ started in 2007 and
is a collaborative network of people
and organisations designed to link
Sussex to all things African at home
and abroad. We are a voluntary, non-
profit organisation dedicated to
improve the lives of vulnerable people
in Africa.

The mainstay or our work relates to
 our fund-raising activities which aims
to support the Zambian organisations -‘Arms Of Love’ (contact in Zambia Mr Emmanuel Chali, e-mail
chalizm@yahoo.com;); 'CK Outreach Project'(contact in Zambia Mr Maybin Mwaba, e-mail maybinmwaba@yahoo.com); and 'Joy Community School' (contact in Zambia Bube Family, e-mail youthinstitute2001@yahoo.com); - each of whom is strongly committed to help disadvantaged and vulnerable children through food-aid, clothing, education and sometimes even homes.

We, in Sussex have developed strong community links with these communities in Ndola through social and cultural exchanges. As well as providing material ongoing support for all their projects, all of which are in some way related to help fulfil the aims of the Millennium Development Goals, and their objectives. With your help and support, we hope to be able to help many hundreds of children in the years to come.
